杉野服飾大学大学院修了制作　－残シンー

弓に弦を張った時のような強い緊張状態から解かれたとき、心の状態は目にすることができない。身体の筋肉が緩んでいくのを見ることはできても、残った心の状態を形として見ることはできない。その目にすることができない一瞬のものを思い描き、心身のありようを造形しようと思う。弓道に於いて、最後の動作のことをざんしんという。私はここに、残る身体、残る心、残る芯、という意味を含んだ『残シン』を表したい。

—ZANSHIN—

ZANSHIN is the final stage of mind and body in a series of movement of Japanese archery. While the release of the tension of the body after an arrow shot is visible, the state of mind with its remaining tension is invisible. Using bamboos, I try to sculpture ZANSHIN—the remaining energy of body, mind, and the core of self after an arrow shot.
